This workshop will be held on a large piece of private land near Joshua Tree National Park in California. This exquisite 640 acre property has large boulders, and live Joshua trees for seemingly infinite opportunities for dramatic images.

Our class begins on Tuesday, April 24th at 7PM, when we will get together for a short presentation on the history of fine art nude photography, and review the portfolios of the attendees. We’ll also go over the camera settings that will best serve you in shooting nude photography on location, and answer any technical questions you may have about digital workflow.

Each day after that, Wednesday through Saturday, we will get up early and head to the locations in SUV’s. The property is secluded and remote, and the roads may be a bit bouncy, but it will be worth it. This is amazing country. We’ll shoot for approximately 6 hours each day. Lunch and water is provided.

Though you may book lodging wherever you choose, we have negotiated a special rate for lodging at the Best Western Yucca Valley. The hotel is the newest facility in town, and has a swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room, laundromat and business center. Information on how you can obtain this special rate will be sent along once you have registered.

The models are experienced, professionally trained dancers, and there will be a 3:1 ratio of participants to models.

For this to work best, it is recommended that participants shoot with digital cameras. Although you are welcome to shoot film, feedback on your efforts would certainly be limited.

Feedback from past participants:

“It was truly a wonderful experience working with you again.  The end came so suddenly that I hadn’t prepared a parting speech.  I just want you to understand that I get a lot out of these workshops and will continue to participate in them until I get really good or really old – whichever comes first. Thanks for everything.”-David S, Sacramento CA

“Thanks for everything, this was a huge help for me. I was looking to push myself forward and find some new challenges. This definitely expanded my thinking and desire in photography. Your one on one input while shooting was very valuable and worthwhile. The time you spent going around while all of us were shooting and the commentary was great.”-Carl Bowden, Los Angeles CA

Cost: $1995. Maximum of 9 participants. Discount of $200. if registration is completed by March 24th.
