I choose the locations for the workshops because I want to shoot there myself. Yet the hallmark of my classes is that I only focus on you for the time we are together, and I do not shoot for myself during that time. So how do I get in time for my own work? Simple. I go into a location a day before the workshop starts to create my own images with one of the dancers.
Inspired by one of my past workshop attendees, who asked me to take his rotation in shooting so he could observe how I work, I am offering a unique opportunity to just one person. That’s the chance to shadow me for a whole day while I work with a gifted dancer in a magnificent location. You’ll have the opportunity to observe how I create a collaborative relationship with the model, how we partner to make better images, and how we break through creative barriers to make dynamic and fresh images. Although I may not be able to answer questions during the shoot itself, there’s plenty of time between setups, at lunch and while driving to and from locations for me to answer any of your questions on aesthetic and technical matters.
